Join us for Musical Munchkins, our first-ever series of four musical workshops for children and their parents. Get ready to sing, dance and be introduced to a variety of instruments with Stéphanie Jones. You may remember her from the session she gave at our Parents and Petits Get-together back in March of 2024.
There is no age too young to be exposed to the joys of music, so bring your babies and preschool aged children to this fun early childhood activity.
The magic of music
- Singing songs and nursery rhymes with children is, first and foremost, a way to develop attachment. What’s more, it helps to create a reassuring routine and celebrate of life’s most simple moments.
- Not only is music is both appealing and comforting, it also works in-depth on a child’s development. Beyond fostering a sense of rhythm, music boosts skills like language, attention span, motor skills and proprioception (the body’s ability to sense movement, action and location).
- These workshops will also promote active listening and the basic politeness of waiting our turn.
