Musical Munchkins

Join us for Musical Munchkins, our first-ever series of four musical workshops for children and their parents. Get ready to sing, dance and be introduced to a variety of instruments with Stéphanie Jones. You may remember her from the session she gave at our Parents and Petits Get-together back in March of 2024.

There is no age too young to be exposed to the joys of music, so bring your babies and preschool-aged children to this fun early childhood activity.

The magic of music

• Singing songs and nursery rhymes with children is, first and foremost, a way to develop attachment. What’s more, it helps to create a reassuring routine and celebrate of life’s most simple moments.
• Not only is music is both appealing and comforting, it also works in-depth on a child’s development. Beyond fostering a sense of rhythm, music boosts skills like language, attention span, motor skills and proprioception (the body’s ability to sense movement, action and location).
• These workshops will also promote active listening and the basic politeness of waiting our turn.
