I would like to take this June blog to highlight Jan Anderson, a very special person in our Wellness Family. Many of you know her very well because she has been taking care of our Family Matters programs for over 20 years. At the end of June, Jan is retiring and moving on to the next chapter in her life.
Always quick to come up with amazing ideas, Jan is full of spark, creativity, compassion and dedication. She has had a great impact on our community, touching so many of our lives and enticing us with her delicious baking! I feel so lucky to have been able to work with Jan and to have her as a mentor over these past few months. Congratulations Jan, on a wonderful career! All the best on your next adventures.

A farewell message to you from Jan
Dear Parents,
This year, JH Partners is celebrating 30 years of serving our community. Officially opening under the name of Holland Centre in September of 1991 with a staff of three, our team has expanded to over 30 including the staff at Jeffery Hale Community Services. I am delighted that our services are growing to serve our community better. Jessica Price has recently joined the WE team as full-time coordinator serving English-speaking families with young children. It has been my pleasure to watch Jessica Price take over this new position. Thanks to her, I can retire in peace at the end of June knowing you will all be well cared for going forward!
I will dearly miss my daily interactions with each of you. You have taught me so much over the years about various parenting styles. This past year has been a roller coaster ride, especially for those of you that welcomed babies into the world during a pandemic. I am so proud of each of you and for the way you build community even in a lockdown by caring for one another. I am also really looking forward to retirement and more free time to play with my darling grandkids, ride my bike and, hopefully, travel the globe once my vaccine kicks in! Don’t worry, you’ll definitely see me around volunteering here and there.
