Join Y4Y Québec in collaboration with the Wellness Centre at Jeffery Hale for this free Youth on Boards two-day training.
Youth on Boards provides participants provides youth (16-30) with Board of Directors training, skills and confidence in order to contribute to local and organisational change.
Youth, aged 16 – 30, will learn about boards including:
- laws that govern boards of directors
- non-profit organizational structures
- board of director roles
- roles and procedures of board meetings
Participants will also have the opportunity to be involved in a mock board meeting to practise these newfound skills.
The 2-day training includes:
- Catered breakfast, lunch, and snacks provided for the entire weekend
- 3 Interactive Workshops: Boards 101, The Laws that Govern Boards, What NOT to do at a Board Meeting
- A Mock Board Meeting
- A Certificate of completion, & list of recommended nonprofits seeking board membership
