Moving to a new area has a huge impact on your life.  Maybe you came from another province or country, to a place where you maybe cannot speak the local language, after being separated from your family, friends and former community (even if you moved here by choice), where you maybe do not have the the job you really want (or any job at all).  These are all big life changes that can affect your well-being.

Come alone or bring a friend to the Winds of Change workshop and ease your transition into life in your new area of Quebec City.

As part of this workshop, you will:

  • Learn ways to create balance in your life
  • Understand how change has an impact on your life
  • Discover ways to adapt to new cultures
  • Get connected! Share stories with seasoned newcomers and meet others experiencing a similar situation to you

You will also learn about resources and tools that can help you adapt and settle into your new life, such as:

  • Language Courses
  • Employment counselling
  • Vocational training
  • Social networks
  • VEQ’s Finding Your Niche for Newcomers’ sessions
  • Other support organizations

Dessert and coffee to follow.
