In February, our English-speaking community is taking part in The Push-Up Challenge. We are challenging ourselves to complete 2000 push-ups between February 11-28 to raise awareness of mental illness in Canada. Why 2,000? Because that represents the 20% of Canadians who will experience a mental illness each year.
Each day of the Challenge, we’ll aim for a different daily push-up target that relates to an important Mental Health Fact. These daily targets add up to 2,000 push-ups overall. You can track your progress and see the facts on the free app.
You don’t have to be a push-up pro to participate. You can substitute push-ups with sit-ups, squats or other alternative exercises. You can also choose to aim for 50% of the push-up target and smash out 1,000 push-ups instead of 2,000.
Follow our progress and donate to the cause!
You can help us push for better mental health in Canada by joining us or donating to our team. All proceeds go to the our local Québec City branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association to support mental illness recovery and foster positive mental health outcomes in Canada.
