Grief is emotional, not logical. It can be caused by a death, divorce, or the end of a romantic relationship. It can also result from any of the forty other losses that people may experience, including moving, pet loss, or a change in finances. No matter what the cause, if you are grieving, you know how you feel and it probably isn’t good. The Grief Recovery Method may be right for you!

In the safe environment of this 8-week course, we’ll help you discover specific tools to recover from loss and ultimately lead a happier life. The Grief Recovery Method helps you deal with those things you wish might have been different or better. It gives you a chance to address your dreams and hopes for the future, which may not be not the future you had planned. Also, it helps you address any words left unspoken and come to terms with the lost relationship that you felt would cause you pain for the rest of your life.

Come together one evening a week over Zoom with CMA Medeiros, a trained and certified Grief Recovery Method Specialist.  She will guide you through the following:

  • Meet, discuss grief, reactions, and responses to grief.
  • Get a clear view of how grief can build up.
  • Practise compassion for yourself and others,
  • Develop deep listening skills and start to increase your vocabulary related to emotions.
  • Acquire practical lifelong skills for processing and dealing with loss and grief.
  • Learn how to listen and support others moving forward.
  • Gain tools to help you recognize your feelings and emotions tied to losses,
  • Equip yourself to make choices about moving through grief that won’t weigh you down.

This learning experience is about two skills that go hand in hand: How to compassionately witness others who grieve and learning how to be present with your own grief.
