SHEDquarters is a group for male caregivers with friendly get-togethers twice a month featuring a variety of interesting activities. In addition to opportunities to make new friends and for mutual support, participants can look forward to practicing hobbies, skill-sharing and learning experiences.
Who are caregivers? Anyone who provides physical, psychological, or psychosocial support to a loved one with a disability.
Developed by Élise Arsenault, a master’s student in Social Work at Laval University, in collaboration with Jeffery Hale Community Partners, the SHEDquarters initiative aims to promote access to a supportive community that reflects the unique needs and interests of male caregivers.
