Since this past October 30, advance requests for medical assistance in dying have been in effect. An advance request allows a person to give their consent ahead of time to be able to receive medical aid in dying in the future and under certain conditions, including when they are no longer able to consent to receive aid (for example, in the case of Alzheimer’s disease).
This special edition of Wellness Café will open a conversation on the current end-of-life care legislation in Québec with Well 50+ & Caregivers’ Circle program coordinator, Anaïs. Join us for a shared reading of the latest information on the Act Respecting End-of-Life Care, including details on Advance Requests for Medical Aid in Dying. It’s a meaningful opportunity to learn, reflect, and connect on this important topic.
