Join Maria (VEQ), Catherine (LLL), and Moumy (SSEN) for lunch at Le Corsaire Microbrasserie followed by a free tour of the Musée de la Alphonse-Desjardins.
About the Musée: Let a guide take you back to 1906, through this Victorian house, the birthplace of the first financial services cooperative known as a “caisse.” Dive into the world of Alphonse and Dorimène Desjardins and get a first-hand look at some of their belongings. In addition to the historic home, visit the house next door for an exhibit dedicated to the story of the Desjardins couple and the founding of the caisses. Learn more about the founders, whose commitment earned them the honour of being named National Historic Persons.
Transport will be provided by VEQ. There will be two pick-up locations. One at Jeffery Hale departing at 10:00am, and the second at Eastern Quebec Learning Centre, departing at 10:30am. Our day will start with lunch at 11am followed by the tour at 1pm. We will be making our way back to the North Shore shortly after 2:00pm.
