Fall transitions

colourful fall leaves

And just like that, fall is here. It is that glorious time of year once again for cooler days, beautiful foliage and leaves crunching under our fall boots, not to mention apple and pumpkin picking. With September being such a busy month, October always kind of sneaks up on me. Before we know it, Halloween will be here.

I don’t know about you, but I am finding this fall to be especially busy. We all seem to be in transition, this year in particular as we adjust to getting together again more often for gatherings, activities and events. Not to mention the usual things on our to-do list, like adjusting to fall routines and changing our wardrobe. If you are tired or feeling drained, hey, it’s okay. Keep in mind that we all experience transitions differently. Our children adjust and process in their own way too, so be sure to give them chances to rest and recharge.

Take a look at our fall programming

Our programs are back up and running. We have a great line up for you, from our Baby Chat Café and Café au Lait Crew, to the Take-a-Break Drop In, to parenting workshops, and much fun for you and your family. Dads, are you looking to connect with nature in October? Join Jarryd Smith, our WE Dads Community Animator for a Hike with Dads and Kids at Mont Wright on October 22. This is a gorgeous hike and a great workout!

Be sure to have a look at our events calendar for the entire schedule. We sure hope to see you out and about at some of our activities.

Jessica Price, Family Matters Program Coordinator

Wishing you all this best in your fall transitions.  For those of you that have children starting school for the first time, I wish you all the best during this important milestone.

Take care and don’t hesitate to reach out,

Jessica
