Now that we have a good blanket of snow on the ground, it is beginning to feel a lot like winter, even if not officially yet on the calendar. These are the perfect days to get out and play in the snow with your little ones as it is not too cold yet and we have even had a few days of stickier snow which is always wonderful for making snowmen, snow forts and more! Be sure to check out many of the wonderful winter activities and opportunities to get out in the snow around Quebec City that I mention in my December newsletter.
Holiday Run-Around and Family Fun Event
Join us for some indoor holiday fun at our Holiday Run-Around and Family Fun Event on Saturday, December 10 at Quebec High School. It will be a morning of: run around activities & games in the gym, crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, and more! Let us know if you plan on attending so we can be ready for you. This event is also an opportunity for you to open your hearts and help families in need in more than one way. First, bring a financial donation to the Community Christmas Hamper Campaign and enter our raffle for one of three amazing family gift baskets. Second, we are asking for donations of new or lightly used toys for families from the Refugee Health Clinic.

With the holiday season at our doorstep, I would like to take a moment to send some love and holiday cheer to you and your families. It has been wonderful to connect with so many of you this fall. For those of you with whom I haven’t yet connected, I hope to cross paths with you in the New Year or maybe even before at our Holiday Run-Around and Family Fun Event. Family life has sure been a bit of a whirlwind over the past few years so let’s take this holiday season to cherish our loved ones and value all the moments we have together. Slow down, relax, and don’t fuss; just breathe and observe the wonder of the holidays through your little one’s eyes. They will be grown up before you know it!
