I don’t know about you, but I find the summer in Québec to be a bit short. So I make a point of getting out to soak up the warm summer days of August while they last! I have a few suggestions that you might want to check out with your family of great things happening within our community and around the city this month.
Are you looking to connect more with other English-speaking parents and families? Don’t miss the last Park Playdates, of the summer. There are only about six weeks left on the agenda, so be sure to get out and meet some new people and try a new park in the process. As always, these events are hosted by local parents and take place on either Friday or Saturday mornings.
Dads and kiddos, why not head out on a Saturday morning to play soccer with other English-speaking dads and Jarryd Smith, our WE Dads Community Animator? For more details, don’t hesitate to reach out to Jarryd!
Looking to get more involved and connected with other English-speaking parents in 2022-’23? Join Jarryd and I at the Parents’ Night Out: Pizza Planning Party on Thursday, September 8 at 6:00 p.m. Each year, the volunteer parents of EPIQ (English-speaking Parents in Québec) host a variety of activities for families or even just parents who could use a night out without the kiddos. Why not join us and be part of the planning process? In the past, parent-led events have included activities such as hikes, pumpkin patch outings, apple picking, tobogganing, spa outings, nights out on the town and cooking classes. All EPIQ events, either with or without the kids, are led by volunteer parents like you, but we’re here to support you and help spread the word.
