One activity that almost anyone can do to moderate stress is mindful walking. Spend a summer morning exploring the beautiful Jardin botanique Roger-Van den Hende with our volunteer guide Christiane Ruggiero, a visiting occupational therapist from Florida with a specialty in neuro rehabilitation. Become more aware of each step and breathe taken. Enjoy the physical benefits of walking while being present in nature.
We are partnering with VEQ’s Out and About Program for this session so you can leave the driving to us! After the walk we’ll continue on to a local creperie for brunch. Be sure to register by the June 27 deadline.
We will all load onto the bus at 9:50 AM in front of the Jeffery Hale Pavilion (1270 chemin Ste-Foy, Quebec, Qc G1S 2M4).
This bus outing is free and so is parking in the hospital parking lot but each participant will cover their own restaurant expense. Please call 418 684-5333, Ext 1539 to register by June 27. Spaces are limited. In case of pouring rain the talk will be given indoors.
If you are reluctant to attend because you cannot leave your loved one alone, please call us so we can find a way to assist you.
