Music and Ipads

Join us at the  Caring Circle Café on  Tuesday, October 17, 2017:  Music with Ipads

Music can be soothing, relaxing, invigorating and engaging for caregivers and those they are caring for. You are invited to learn more about creative music-making with digital musical instruments such as Ipads. Participants will be guided in musical activities, which will include improvisation, song-making, exploration of sound, and learning to play personally meaningful songs with digital instruments. Prior musical experience is not necessary. Guest lecturer Andrea Creech from Laval University  uses an approach based on the idea that we are ALL musicians. Her aim is to explore ways that technology provides the means to engage with music-making to bring more enjoyment into our lives.

Time : 9:30 to 11:30 AM

Location: Room 1135 on the main floor of the Jeffery Hale Pavilion (1270 chemin Ste-Foy).

Light refreshments will be served. This activity is free and so is parking in the hospital parking lot. Participants are asked to call 418 684-5333, Ext 1539 to register.

If you are reluctant to attend because you cannot leave your loved one alone, please call us so we can find a way to assist you.
