With the holiday season at our doorstep, I would like to take a moment to send some love and holiday cheer to you and your families. It has been wonderful to connect with many of you this fall, whether virtually or in-person at our virtual workshops, our baby activities or EPIQ (English-speaking Parents in Quebec) events. For those of you with whom I haven’t yet connected, I hope to cross paths with you in the New Year.
Family life has sure been a bit of a whirlwind since the pandemic hit. Let’s take this holiday season to cherish our loved ones and value all the moments we have together. We’ve complained for years about the rush and madness of the holiday season. With many of us once again celebrating more simply, try to be present in the moment. Slow down, relax, and don’t fuss; just breathe and observe the wonder of the holidays through your little one’s eyes. Why not make it your mission to find that wonderful balance of getting outside to play in the snow and then cozying up indoors? Take a walk to see the holiday lights, bake some cookies together, watch the snowflakes come down, or enjoy a video chat with friends or family. Give your little ones an extra cuddle and take some photos. They will be grown up before you know it!

Need a little extra fun in your family this holiday season or want to spread the joy with another family you know? Why not purchase a Christmas Family Fun Box for your family or maybe for another family you know that could appreciate it? What a great gift! All of the profits from this EPIQ group fundraiser will go towards the 26th annual Community Christmas Hamper Campaign! Be sure to get yours soon as we have a limited number available, and the deadline to purchase is December 1st!
Most of our programming will be on pause for the holiday break. Rest assured that we will be back in full force in January with many exciting things up our sleeves!
I wish you all a wonderful winter solstice to kick off our magical wintertime and a terrific holiday season. Let’s hope for gorgeous and bountiful snow to bring smiles to our kiddos faces over the holidays!
