Dadventures, a new Wellness Centre initiative to support men raising children, got off to an exciting start in late September with a drizzly-but-fun hike up Mount Wright. The fifteen eager participants included five dads, one grandad and nine excited children ranging in age from 2 to 8 years. Jarryd Smith, fitness coach and activity coordinator, reported that the outing was a great success. “We made it to the top before the rain settled in and were able to enjoy a healthy snack undercover before embracing the rain on the way down.” Getting wet and puddle jumping were all part of this unforgettable adventure. Memories were made, new bonds forged and nature was enjoyed by all.
Don’t miss the next Dadventures session, the RAMP-UP for Motor Skills Rally on Saturday, November 30 at Quebec High School (945 Avenue Belvédère, Québec, QC G1S 3G2) from 9:30 to 11 AM. Dads, uncles, step-dads, grandpas, if you’re looking for a way to help your little ones run off some steam and grow their motor skills, sign-up for this activity that will focus on teamwork, group challenges and fun games.
Enjoy some action-packed bonding moments with your kids ages 1 to 5 years of age in great company. For more information or to register for this free activity before the November 28th deadline, please contact Ellie Fleming firstname.lastname@example.org or 418-684-5333 ext. 1265.
