Concerned about road safety in your neighborhood?

Do you worry about road safety in your neighborhood? Do cars whiz by your children’s play grounds? These concerns are shared by Solidarité familles et sécurité routière. Last week Nancy Gilbert, co-founder of this organization visited Take-a- Break Drop In to help parents become more aware of  the problem of road security  and how to address it at a grassroots level. Each Spring this organization encourages citizens to politley remind drivers and cyclists to slow down and be more attentive to children that may be playing nearby. Their symbol is a colorful pinwheel that can be displayed in yards alongside the road. Colorful  banners can be purchased  from SFSR as a fund raiser and  reminders to drivers to slow down.
